Pension, Investment and Financial Planning for British and US Nationals residing in Spain
Hosted by OpesFidelio Financial and Wealth Management Adviser Network, the 2025 OpesFidelio conference provided an opportunity to explore comprehensive solutions tailored to the diverse financial challenges faced by expatriates residing in Spain.
The OpesFidelio conference was held on 2nd October 2025 in Malaga, at the Salles Hotel.
The annual event brings advisers and partner company representatives together to review current trends, technologies, and market outlooks and to discuss future potential opportunities. James Pearcy-Caldwell as CEO gave a keynote address as part of the day’s presentation.
Max Durrant, Director of the OpesFidelio EU network of wealth management advisors, run by Aisa International, gave the opening introduction and discussed Aisa International’s central investment proposition. Max also provided insights on the opportunities for US citizens, living in Spain, to invest in IRS compliant investments- something that US expats find difficulty to access in the EU.
Nathan Sweeney of Marlborough Funds presented their low-cost fund propositions and gave an interesting macro overview of the current investment markets.
Simon Baker from Utmost International explained the benefits of Spanish Tax Compliant Investments and Paul Forman of Novia Global gave a seminar about the current UK pension rules and their regulated UK pension and introduced their new EU regulated platform.
